VEX Robotics Competition

How it Works

In 2014, the Engineering New Mexico Resource Network at NMSU hosted the first annual New Mexico VEX Robotics State Championships-VRC and VEX IQ. Since that time, NMSU has proudly continued to serve as the host for the New Mexico VEX Robotics State Championship. The 2017 State Championship will be held on Friday, FEB 9, 2017 & Saturday, FEB 10, 2017 at the NMSU Activity Center.

The Competition

VRC is a competition designed for middle and high school students and VEX IQ is designed for elementary and middle school students. These two VEX robotics competitions give K-12 students an opportunity to get hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming through an interactive robotics challenge while introducing them to the concepts of STEM.
